It's All About Coffee Today

One of this week's prompts is COFFEE.  Coffee is a must for me in the morning. I love to start my day off sloooow with a mug...or 2.  Everyone pretty much leaves me alone until I have had my coffee.

For this challenge, I created a card as inspiration for the group and a tag for the Tag A Day Challenge :

I pulled out some retired Stampin' Up coffee themed paper and the matching stamps sets.  I cut a piece of the designer paper with the coffee cup marks to 5.25x4 inches and mounted it on a slightly bigger piece of Soft Suede coloured paper. I then pulled out the large ribbon and cut a matt to frame it.  I assembled all these pieces as shown and mounted them on a standard white card base.

I stamped out the cups and main saying using Early Espresso ink and cut them out using the matching dies. I decorated the cups by adding the tops, the little hole stoppers, and the sleeve.  The second looked a little boring so I used a saying (KK Ruby Red ink) from the stamp and dies to create the little tag too.  The cups were really white so I distressed them with some of the ink and then mounted using pop dots.  I added a few dots from Kraftin Kimmie that coordinated beautifully with the other red items on the page.

I decided that I would continue with the coffee theme for the tag as well. I used more paper from the same set and cut out a tag which I mounted on a white tag to give it strength. I then stamped the lid, sugar cubes, sentiment and coffee beans in Early Espresso and used the die set to cut everything out.  Then I assembled and added to the tag.  A ribbon finished it off!
