For today's inspiration post in the There's A Stamp for That Facebook group, I chose to focus on the boys prompt. I have been wanting to play with this die set and so I dug it out, cut out the monitor and then created a Nintendo controller which you will notice is totally absent from the card! I had an idea in mind and when I was part way through I realized it wouldn't work the way I wanted it to so I changed directions and created the switch controller instead. I then coloured up this cute guy from a Sweet Sentiments stamps set with my markers. I stuck to my favourite red combo - R59/29/24 and blue - B29/26/24/21.
To assemble, I stamped the Happy Birthday directly on the card base and I added vellum to the monitor to make it look realistic. I did the same with the Game On! and the screen on the controller. Those little stamps are very finicky! Then I assembled it all.
I have to confess that I don't know the name of the die set or the stamp set. I have had the die for a loooong time and the stamp set doesn't have the name of the stamp sheet and is no longer on the Sweet Sentiment website. I will keep looking for the details. The Game On was stamped with a tiny letter set I got from the dollar store years ago. The Happy Birthday is from the Yay! Birthday Bundle from Hero Arts.
