Kraftin' Kimmie January Christmas Challenge

Kraftin' Kimmie's Monthly Christmas Challenge!

We are shaking things up this year! Instead of weekly prompts this year we will give you 1 Sketch, 1 Colour Palette and 1 Theme the first Sunday of every month!

Here is the sketch:

Here is the gorgeous colour palette:

and last but not least
January's theme is Snow and Ice!

This way you will have a whole month to play with them and you can enter as many times as you like! Use just one of the inspirations or mix them together as you like! Lets get those cards, tags, gifts ready for the holidays!

Once we have at least five different people playing, there will be a prize at the end of the month for a $10 gift voucher to the shop!! Who's ready? There's a folder all ready for you and we can't wait to see what you make!

For my first project for this challenge, I created a card for the theme - Snow and Ice.

I used the fabulous Cool Crystals Stencil and some blue Nuvo paste to create a background for my card.  I will be honest, the paste turned out to be way too shiny for my liking!  I dug into my stash and found a thin vellum that I layered over top that worked well to mute the shine and give the background a cool icy feel that goes right along with the theme!  I then stamped the Snowflake Kisses! snowflakes and sentiment out in Magical Midnight ink and fussy cut them out.  I layered the card front onto a piece of navy blue panel and a card base. I then popped the snowflakes onto the front with pop dots.  I then went over them with Lawn Fawn sparkle glaze to give them some shine and glitter.  I will be posting more for this challenge during the month.

I can't wait to see your Christmas creations!
